Looking towards 2011-2012 season:

APYFC has been granted - Charter Status by the FA

  • We have entered 27 teams into the Watford Friendly League (WFL) - up 3 on last year.
  • Age groups Under 7 to Under 18.
  • Mixed boys and girls team up to Under 11, separate boys and girls teams above that age.
  • Over 300 playing members making us one of the biggest amateur youth football clubs in London.
  • Affiliation to the Amateur Football Alliance (our County).
  • The club is non profit making and offers football to players whatever their financial circumstances with concessionary membership and match and training fee rates offered to a number of players.
  • Nike kit provided to each player.
  • Each team has weekly training with qualified FA Level 1, 2 and 3 coaches and is managed by a parent.
  • All matches are refereed, primarily by qualified referees.
  • Our home pitches are as shown on the right of this webpage.

The club is committed to, and abides by, the FA rules and regulations concerning coaching, child protection and grass roots football development.

The club has a child protection officer and, in keeping with our club aims to achieve FA Charter Standard status this season, full CRB checks and minimum Level 1 coaching qualifications are in place.

Through its relationship with the Alexandra Park Football Club, APYFC aims to offer local, life long, competitive football and coaching and beyond that, social involvement to all current playing members.

The club is run by volunteers and is always looking for assistance.

The club does not currently have a sponsor and if your organisation would like to benefit from our considerable market exposure to an affluent and vibrant community, please contact the club secretary, Richard Las.

Please check the News and Membership pages for more info.

Review of 2010/11 Season

APYFC is part of the Alexandra Park Club (est. 1898) which also includes the Alexandra Park Football and Cricket Clubs based at the Racecourse Ground Alexandra Palace and has full access to and use of pitches and facilities at the Alexandra Park Club (which includes the Club House for Social events).

Alexandra Park Youth Football Club (APYFC) was originally developed from The Alexandra Palace Soccer School into the Alexandra Palace Football Club some 15 years or so ago. It has been established in its current form for 6 seasons. The club evolved from a Saturday morning soccer school to satisfy the desire of youngsters from the Muswell Hill and Crouch End areas to play competitive football. To that end the club plays in the Watford Friendly League where we are now one of the biggest clubs.

Much of the strength and vigour of the club must go down to the major contribution made by Will Staniland, the Club Secretary for the last few years. Will stands down at the end of the season but can look back with great pride at the transformation that he has brought about to make APYFC one of the biggest youth football clubs in London. Over the years he has given thousands of hours of his own time in running the club and providing football facilities for local youngsters and he departs with our thanks and best wishes ringing in his ears.

Turning back to the football, in the 2010-2011 season the club fielded 24 teams competing at U8-U18 age groups. On the pitch our teams won 6 Divisional titles, a County Cup and a Spring Cup, but just to prove it is not just about winning we are also extremely proud that we picked up 3 Sporting Team awards out of the nine possible age groups. U9 East - 4th in the Blue Division
U10s U10 South - WINNERS of the Blue Division
